The gardens, rock gardens, boulders and stones
in the Mecklenburg Lake District
(Mecklenburgische Seenplatte)

Mecklenburg is filthy rich. The stones and the attachments are from Scandinavia and were shipped in the Weichsel ice age about 20,000 years ago to Mecklenburg. In ice stones pitched every size and structure.
In the rock garden variety stones are explained. Stones over a cubic meter volume are called boulders.
Many stones were read in the fields, where they interfere with the agricultural and were for skating, for example, Alt Schwerin, Barns e.g. Kraase and farmhouses used.
Fieldstones were partially defeated and walls of the church such as ruin Dambeck
and Church Kirch Grubenhagen used.
In recent years, beautiful gardens created in the region, such as Waren (Müritz).
